What is HUMIRA?

HUMIRA, the abbreviated form of HUman Monoclonal antibody In Rheumatoid Arthritis, is a type of medication that is used to neutralize inflammations of the body. It is used in the treatment of various complications, including the likes of psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, plaque psoriasis and even Crohn’s disease (in cases where all other types of medication have failed).

However, HUMIRA is not completely safe as a medication due to the harmful nature of its side-effects. It should not be used without the express approval of a physician. Also, in order to prescribe HUMIRA, the doctor should test the patient for various infections, such as tuberculosis. In particular, children, young adults and patients suffering from any type of allergy should not be prescribed HUMIRA unless absolutely necessary, since they are more vulnerable to its negative effects.

The use of HUMIRA can increase the chances of developing cancer of various types, autoimmune disorders and extremely dangerous infections with well-manifested symptoms, such as coughing fits, fever, heavy perspiration, hyperventilation and fatigue. Some of these symptoms are geographically specific, and only appear in specific places around the globe.

HUMIRA, while potent, is definitely not a drug for everyday use, with its risks eclipsing its benefits in many cases.
